El informe final de la investigación sobre el incendio en la Torre Grenfell concluye que una cadena de errores de las administraciones públicas y del sector privado posibilitó que el fuego en el edificio se convertirse en una trampa mortal.

Lidia García García (Montealegre del Castillo, 1989) es investigadora y divulgadora. Doctora en Historia del Arte por la Universidad de Murcia con una tesis sobre copla y prácticas camp.
Graduada en Humanidades por la Universidad de Alicante, fue premio extraordinario de fin de carrera y obtuvo una mención a la excelencia académica de la Generalitat Valenciana. También ha sido primer premio nacional en el XV Certamen de Introducción a la Investigación Científica del Ministerio de Educación. Ha participado en congresos internacionales –en la Universidad de Cambridge y en la Southern Denmark, entre otras- con comunicaciones sobre arte contemporáneo y cultura popular y ha publicado artículos sobre esta temática tanto en revistas científicas como en medios generalistas.

Alba Carballal Gandoy (Lugo, 1992) es arquitecta por la ETSAM, escritora y guionista e investigadora doctoral. Su primera novela, Tres maneras de inducir un coma (Seix Barral, 2019), mejor opera prima del año para El Cultural, la situó como una de las voces jóvenes más originales del panorama literario español. Junto al ilustrador Lorenzo Sangiò publicó el álbum infantil Tu hogar en cualquier sitio (Editorial Flamboyant, 2021). Le seguiría su segunda novela, Bailaréis sobre mi tumba (Seix Barral, 2023), que recorre la historia reciente de Galicia con el chapapote como telón de fondo. Ha sido columnista del grupo Vocento y guionista en programas y series como Late Motiv, Locomundo, Manolito Gafotas y Días mejores.

Ana Garriga (Salamanca, 1989) y Carmen Urbita (Madrid, 1989) se conocieron en Providence (Rhode Island) en 2016 cuando empezaron un doctorado en la Universidad de Brown. Juntas son Las hijas de Felipe, nombre con el que en 2020 empezaron a grabar un podcast sobre rincones olvidados del barroco, siempre guiadas por la premisa de que "todo lo que te esté pasando a ti ahora, ya le pasó a alguien en los siglos XVI y XVII”. Ana Garriga se doctoró en 2017 en la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Carmen Urbita tiene un máster en literatura comparada por la Universidad de Oxford y ahora escribe su tesis sobre los cruces entre escritura, arquitectura y prácticas mecánicas en la construcción de El Escorial.

Su novela 'Tres maneras de inducir un coma' (Seix Barral, 2019), escrita en la Fundación Antonio Gala para Jóvenes Creadores, fue elegida mejor ópera prima del año en El Cultural y también resultó finalista del XV Premio Dulce Chacón de Narrativa Española. Ha trabajado como redactora en la revista Arquitectura Viva, como guionista en los programas Late Motiv y LocoMundo y en la serie Días mejores (Amazon Prime Video), y como coordinadora de guion en el programa Esto no es una serie. Entre 2019 y 2021 fue columnista en los periódicos regionales del grupo Vocento, y es colaboradora habitual de la Revista Mongolia. Codirige, junto a Darío Adanti, el podcast 'El milenarismo'. A día de hoy trabaja como guionista en la productora Alea Media. En septiembre de 2021 se publicó su primer álbum infantil, 'Tu hogar en cualquier sitio' (Editorial Flamboyant, 2021). Está desarrollando una tesis, en la Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid, sobre la ciudad de Madrid en la literatura en prosa de los siglos XIX y XX.

A major building project has completely refurbished one part of the campus and linked our two main buildings, Burlington House and 6, Burlington Gardens, through a scheme architected by David Chipperfield RA.
The build manager supports the delivery of the Academy’s exhibitions programme and manages to build projects within our buildings. This entails managing exhibition contractors and builds within our galleries, advising on and facilitating large sculpture installations by modern and contemporary artists, and carrying out small building works within our Grade II* listed buildings.
Reporting to the head of surveying, and working closely with the exhibition managers, the build manager will project manage all aspects of gallery builds and strikes: from design processes, through tender and contract awards to build programmes and sign-off of finished work. The role will act as the Academy’s initial operational point of contact for exhibition build contractors.
In addition, the build manager will project manage small building and fit out projects on behalf of the Estates department, and as directed by the Head of Surveying, carry out administrative surveying tasks in support of the maintenance of the Royal Academy’s listed buildings.
